This post contains a few random bits of things I want to mention. First, some (blog) housekeeping stuff.
As I mentioned last time, I have been contemplating removing myself from Paper Lovestory’s “My Week” feature. I love doing it and seeing what others have been up to, but unfortunately, I just don’t have the time to do it every week and keep up with my regular posts. With that said I’ve decided to keep it but alter it just a bit. I am going to make it a monthly feature rather than a weekly one (probably towards the end of each month). I’ll be able to show you more interesting days as opposed to bore you all with snippets from work each time. I will rename the feature (on my blog) “My Filofax Days” to reflect the change here. Thank you to Paper Lovestory for inviting all of us to join her in her awesome weekly feature! I’ll start this at the end of April since I’ve already done a few for March.
If you read my posts through a reader and haven’t been to the blog in a while, I just want to point out some additional features and information I have there. I have a “Currently” section where I list and link (where applicable) all of the current different things going on in my life—what binder I’m currently using; what I’m reading, watching, and listening to; and any latest adventures I’ve experienced. Also, any guest posts I’ve done are listed under (what else?) “Guest Posts.” There is a section for my Happiness Project where I provide links for books and information I’ve referred to in my Happiness Project posts. An update to this will be coming soon! There’s a section on how you can contact me, should you need to, including my Twitter name. I do require followers to send a request because otherwise I get followed by numerous people who just want people to follow. I have to say that I haven’t been very active there lately, but I seem to get involved with Twitter in waves—I won’t use it for a while, and other times I’m very vocal. Send me a request if you’re there! Finally, there is a section for “Blogs of Interest.” This mostly contains Philofaxy-related blogs (though there are a few others). I have kept this list updated thanks to Steve’s very hard work on the Web Finds feature. (Please note I’m not trying to be in competition with Philofaxy here. I started this for my own use, easy access to other blogs for me. It has grown by leaps and bounds in the last year or so. Now it’s just become an obsession to see how many spin-off blogs we have.) I have broken down the list into two parts—the active blogs versus the “archived” blogs, the ones that are still available to view but haven’t had any new posts in more than a year. At the start of each year, I go through the list, move any older blogs to the archived section and remove any that are no longer available to view. If your blog is listed in this section, you’re also on the list in my Feedly account. So not only are you on my blog roll, but I see every post that is published. (If I’m missing your blog, it just an oversight—please feel free to let me know in the comments below.)
Moving on! A while back, I asked for input for upcoming New York City meet ups. I only got two responses (thank you!). In speaking with the two, we might shake things up a bit and choose a new retailer and/or restaurant. I’m still looking into it before deciding on that part of it—my goal is to accommodate as many people as possible. But my focus has to be the entire group, so unfortunately I cannot make any promises for any one request, though I will try my best. If you’d like to offer a suggestion on a retailer and/or restaurant (in walking distance of whatever retailer we do choose), please leave a comment below or email me at kanalt17 at Gmail dot com. Looking at my increasingly full calendar, I’m very limited on dates already for a spring meet up. It looks like it will take place in June. Watch for an official announcement (both here and over at Philofaxy) in the next month or so.
Now that I will (hopefully) have time for regular posts again, here’s what I’m working on (but not necessarily in this order):
- Happiness Project and Happiness Binder updates
- Additions to my bag collection
- A recent addition to my Filofax collection (and hopefully another to come soon)
- A change in my archiving system
- A book review or two
- Other random babblings
Have a good week!
